Julie recently gave a presentation to the National Association of Funeral Directors area meeting in Gloucester. She spoke of a lovely upbringing in the local area, her work in education and how bereavement resulted in the creation of the Emily Kent Charitable trust, other charitable work including Pied Piper and Cheltenham Open Door, ultimately resulting in an MBE. I am assured that many of the attendees at this event will support her in 2023 as she plans to raise the courageous sum of £500k. I would recommend Julie as a speaker at any event her warm personality and enthusiasm is truly inspirational. I wish her all the best in her future endeavours.
Julie came to speak at Gloucester Quays Rotary Club. Julie is always so engaging.
Her talk on how to deal with changes in your life and mental resilience was inspiring. I definitely came away thinking I could do anything. Plus some new books to get about mindset. I would highly recommend you ask her to come speak to any local groups or businesses who need a pep talk.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching a great panel discussion at the Gloucester Business Show on Young People, Social Media & Mental Health. Julie was an amazing host, so engaging, passionate, knowledgeable on the topic and steered the discussion well.
Would certainly recommend her as a host for any discussion over complex and important topics.
When you've heard so many great things about a person meeting them for the first time can sometimes feel like an 'anti-climax' and at worse a disappointment when they don't actually measure up to what you'd imagined.
For me meeting Julie Kent for the first time was defintely not one of those occassions. Every positive thing I had heard about her paled into insignificance from the moment she stood in front of the project screen, started to speak and captivated her audience.
Julie is without doubt a true force of nature. She exudes an overwhelming sense of drive and passion to get things done but it's tempered by an abundance of genuine interest to connect with her audience.
For someone who has achieved so much she is remarkably humble and respectful of others. Her firsthand knowledge and experience of working and leading within the charity sector is priceless.
If you have the opportunity to hear Julie speak. then I would wholeheartedly recommend you give yourself the gift of listening to her.
